I saw one of these today. It looked stubby compared to the real deal.

Dunno if you’re ever around the area, but there are a couple of exotic dealers in Syosset, Long Island. This one specializes in Ferraris

I saw a crazy garage today, rivaled any exotic dealer.

Not allowed to share photos, this was a residence.

MC12, F40, Carrera GT, Ford GT, Diablo, 328, 458, 458 Speciale, 550 Barchetta, 599, 2CV, 911 GT RS, Excalibur. There were a couple more not listed, I was there for other work and was not in the garage for very long (less than 5 minutes).

Took half the day to process seeing a Carrera GT next to an F40 next to an MC12 next to a Diablo next to a Ford GT next to a 328.

What have you thought about the build so far?

That’s insane to see all of those at once...

And at a residential area too. o_o

The first car I saw walking in was the 2CV. We’ll just say that it was awesome to see it sharing a room with such legends.

I miss my old Lego stuff. This kit was my favorite and taught me all about mechanical things like rack and pinion steering, gearboxes, differentials and all sorts of related mechanisms. I gave them all away to a thrift store that supported a local children’s hospital, so perhaps they did some good.

I might do a full review when done, but so far I’ve been impressed. The design of the car is pretty intricate. That said, it isn’t overly complicated, it’s still legos, many detailed steps each adding a few blocks. Just more steps.I’d guess I’ve spent 5 hours so far, maybe an hour over 5 different days. Although I’m building it with my 6 year old daughter, who I’ve built more kids focused lego sets with before. So thats probably slowed it down. But each step is simple enough that she could probably do it by herself if given enough time, although probably wouldn’t have the attention span. The detail on the car really impresses me, they put a lot of thought into it, from the naca ducts to the louvers on the rear window I cant see how they would have improved on that aspect.

I’m in the middle of the 24 Hours Race Car right now, and I’m marveling (again) at how incredibly mechanically informational these Technic builds are.
